Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful time in MN. We saw some friends we haven't seen in a while and spent time with family. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

St. Joseph's Day Feast

We went up to Minnesota this weekend to attend Ann and Steve's annual St. Joseph's Day Feast. Steve (my brother-in-law) is of Italian descent, and St. Joseph's Day is big in Italy and in Italian-American communities. You can read more about it here.

The food was fantastic!

Update on Phil

Little Philip is doing much better now. We visited him in the hospital on Friday and Saturday, and he finally went home Sunday. He will need continuous care to manage his diabetes, but Jenny and Eric attended classes at the hospital to learn how to control his blood sugar. We are so happy that he is back home now and doing much better!

Prayers for Little Phil

My sister Jenny's little boy, Philip, was admitted to the ICU at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis today. He had been experiencing flu-like symptoms for a few days. They took him to the doctor yesterday, who said he had the flu and sent them home, even though they told the doctor repeatedly that Phil had been excessively thirsty. Well, this morning he was unresponsive, so an ambulance took him to Children's. He's never had any health problems before, but they diagnosed him with Type 1 diabetes. He was in diabetic shock and slipping into a diabetic coma. They are now slowly getting his blood sugar levels back to normal, but he is still unconscious and in the ICU. He is such a sweet, adorable little guy, and it breaks my heart that they are going through this. Please pray for Jenny, Eric, and Phil.
