Two Weeks Old!

We can hardly believe that little Jo is already two weeks old! The past couple of weeks have gone by so fast. We gotten to know a few things about Josephine. First, she's a hungry baby, and she loves to eat. We're pretty sure she's going through a growth spurt right now because many days all I do is nurse her all day long. She also does not like waiting to be fed. It is pretty much the only time she'll cry. She usually takes a nice, long afternoon nap, though the rest of her sleep schedule is still a little unpredictable. She sleeps pretty good at night, though. She doesn't seem to mind her car seat or stroller, and she will sleep in both. She's been to many stores and restaurants, and she did great in church on Sunday. So far we haven't had a problem taking her places. We can't wait to learn more about her and to watch her little personality take shape!

Anniversary

Ryan and I had a wonderful anniversary. On the 22nd, we took little Jo out to the outdoor mall and walked around. It was her first time in her stroller, and she seemed to really like it.

Then we went to Panera and had a nice lunch.
On Saturday night, Ryan and I went out to dinner to celebrate. We had a fabulous meal, and it was so nice to get out. We missed little Jo, but she was very well taken care of at home. My mom watched her for us, and I'm pretty sure Jo didn't miss us at all! Thanks Mom!

Four Years!

Today is the fourth anniversary of our marriage. It's crazy how fast these four years have gone by. We have loved the four years we've had together and are now looking forward to our lives with little Josephine in our family!

Some pictures of Josephine Ann

Sorry it took so long, but here are some pictures of our little Josephine. Most of these were taken at the hospital. We didn't get home until Thursday night because Jo had some problems with jaundice. She's doing well now, but her doctors are still keeping an eye on it. After enduring a two day induction and labor process, a stressful delivery, and a stay in the Special Care Nursery for her jaundice, she has shown us what a strong little girl she is. She is a really sweet, good baby, and we are so blessed! We'll do our best to update with more pictures soon.

She's here!

Baby Girl finally arrived on July 13th at 7:18 pm! She is 7 pounds and 14 ounces and 21 1/4 inches long. She is very healthy and beautiful! We haven't decided on a name yet, but we will post on that as soon as we decide. We'll also post pictures later today or tonight. Thank you all so much for your prayers! We are so blessed by this sweet, little girl!

Baby Update

Well, my due date has come and gone. Baby just doesn't seem to want to come out! I've been having a lot of contractions for the past few weeks, but they haven't actually progressed to true labor. We had an ultrasound done earlier this week, and the baby is doing great. She seems very healthy and strong. We are hoping that the baby will still come naturally, but we have an induction date set for Monday, July 12th. We would really appreciate your prayers for a natural delivery before the 12th. But, if induction does have to take place, we are okay with that. Thank you for all of your calls and emails! We'll update the blog when we have more news!

Maternity Photos

A few weeks ago, Ryan and I had some maternity pictures taken. They were done by Katrina Nesse, who was also our wedding photographer. We love how they turned out, and they will be wonderful keepsakes for us and the baby!
