Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Eight Months Old!

Dear Josephine,

Today you are eight months old! How did you get so old? We can't believe it! Here's what you're up to:

You have developed such a little personality! You're very sweet and a little spunky! You definitely make your wishes known! You are saying lots of sounds, and even said "Mama" for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Then, a few days ago, you said "Dada" for the first time! You don't really know what the words mean yet, but your little voice sounds so cute when you say them, and we love to hear you talk!

You are a good little eater, and you like to eat lots of different foods. You eat at least two meals of solid food a day, and you breastfeed several times a day. Usually, you have fruit with a grain (like oatmeal) in the late morning, and then in the early evening you have a grain with some veggies. You've started to eat soft finger food, and you recently started to eat yogurt melts and puffs. You love them, and you get better at putting them in your mouth by yourself everyday.

You love to go out, and people love to stop us and talk to you! We always hear three things: how cute you are, how smart you are, and what beautiful eyes you have! We definitely agree! We think you have your beautiful Auntie Kiki's eyes!

You just got your first tooth a few days ago, and your second one is about to break through any day now! You sit really well, and you scooch all over! You're getting better at crawling everyday, but you still prefer to do an "army crawl." You can crawl with your stomach off the ground, but not for very long! You hate to be contained, and you love to move. You're getting so big! You love to watch this video, and you love it when we sing you the song! It's so cute! You also seem to choose one word or phrase per day that is funny to you. We'll say something in conversation, and you will suddenly laugh out loud at one of the words! We'll then say that word all day long to get you to laugh! These are some recent words that you found really funny: feta, uh-oh, zipper, and peas! :)

You still sleep really well at night. We just moved your crib into your own bedroom on Friday. We were really sad about this, but it seemed like it was time. We're happy that we had you in our room for so long, but we really miss waking up to seeing your smiling face peeking out of the crib!

You wear size three diapers, and mostly size 9 month clothes. You still wear a few things (mainly tops) in size 6 month. You're still long and slim. You're our little peanut!

You are the best thing that ever happened to us, Jojo! We love you so much!
