One Month Old!

Little Jo is one month old! Time has gone by so fast! Poor Josephine has a hard couple of weeks. She was diagnosed with silent acid reflux earlier this week. Then she had a reaction to the medication that she was on. We also think that she might have a milk protein allergy or sensitivity, and this could be what is causing or aggravating the reflux. So, I have been on a dairy free diet to see if that helps her. We already think she is doing better. The past few nights she has finally gone back to sleeping in her bassinet. Before she would only sleep if someone was holding her upright on their chests. She hated to be flat on her back because of the reflux. But, things seem to be getting better, and we'll know in a week or so if her new medication for reflux is working. Some babies with reflux struggle to gain weight and have a lot of eating issues. She's been gaining weight great, so we're thankful for that. In fact, I've already had to pack away some of her newborn size onesies and clothes!
