Nine Months Old!

Dear Josephine,

You've grown up so much in the past month! You're doing so many new things, and you seem so much older to us! Here's what you are up to:

You are crawling everywhere and getting into everything! You do a mix of crawling with your stomach off the ground and scooching, but you've gotten really fast. We can't leave you alone for a second! You open up drawers and cabinets, and you've started to try to pull yourself up to tables and chairs. You just started to pull yourself up to bigger toys and table toys. Our living room is sunken (one step down), and you've just figured out how to crawl over the step!

You love music, and you try to sing. It's so cute! Your favorite toy right now is your dog Scout. He sings songs about you and your favorite things and says, "I love you, Josephine!" Your newest trick is that you know how to do "So Big!" We'll say, "How big is Josephine? So big!" And you'll stretch your arms up high! You are so smart!

We recently started a class/playgroup with a bunch of other babies close to your age. You love to play with all the other babies, and it is definitely apparent that you are one of the more active, outgoing babies! You are always moving and exploring!

You are a good little eater, and you love to feed yourself. You have gotten so fast at getting food in your mouth by yourself. This past month you've started eating mainly finger foods. You love soft veggies and fruits, yogurt, toast, pasta, waffles, and your favorite food is cheese! You could eat cheese all day long! You are also still breastfeeding.

You sleep so good! You sleep all through the night, and you wake up so happy! You've now been sleeping in your nursery for a month, and we think you like it. You take two naps a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We are so blessed to have a good sleeper!

You wear size 3 diapers and mostly size 9 month clothes, but some of the clothes are getting too tiny for you! You're still long and skinny, but we'll update the post with your 9 months stats after your appointment with the pediatrician.

It was a long winter, but it's finally nicer out. You love being outside! We're excited to celebrate Easter with you soon, and we can't wait for all the fun things we have planned for the spring and summer!

You've changed so much in the past month, and we can't wait to see what you're doing next month! You are so much fun, and we love every second with you! We love you so much, Jojo!
