Five Months Old!

Dear Josephine,

We can hardly believe that you are already five months old! You are growing so fast! Here's what you're up to:

You are usually a very happy and content baby. You laugh so much, and you love to laugh when we make funny faces or sounds.

This past weekend, your reflux started up again. You've been having problem sleeping, and you haven't been your usual happy self. We took you to the Pediatric Urgent Care to rule out anything else, like a ear infection. They upped your medication, but we think we're going to start taking you to a pediatric gastroenterologist.

When your reflux is under control, you sleep like a champ! You usually sleep 10.5 to 11.5 hours every night without getting up! You wake up so happy!

You tried rice cereal for the first time recently. You have it every so often, but we're waiting until you are closer to six months old to really start solids. So far you like it. You also still love to drink little bits of water from a cup.

You have become very grabby in the last month! If something is within your reach, you will try to get it. You recently pushed a glass bowl off the counter and broke it. You also try to grab Mommy's glasses, but you've only pulled them off my face a few times. You really love to pull my hair, too!

You are still long and skinny! You wear size 2 diapers and size 6 month clothes.

You recently celebrated your first Chanukah. You loved watching the candles! You will soon celebrate your first Christmas, and we are so excited!

You are so sweet and loving! We are so blessed to be your parents! We love you, Jojo!
